Q: How does it work?
A:The Soprano XL Blue Laser uses the optimal hair-removal wavelength of 810nm diode energy to gradually heat the cells that produce the growing hair follicles in the lower layer of the skin until they stop making new hair. The unique tip design also keeps the skin cool, while the sweeping motion ensures that no spot of hair is missed, which can happen with other types of hair removal.
Q: Is it really pain free?
A:Yes, most people find the treatment sensation very mild, and, although pain tolerance is subjective, most people liken it to having a hot stone massage. This is fantastic news for everyone with unwanted hair as this is very different to other more traditional laser hair-removal treatments.
Q: Is it safe?
A:Hair removal has been thoroughly researched and performed for over 15 years with much done to ensure its safety and efficacy. The Soprano XL laser was developed in the USA and in 2005 was approved for the UK by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Since then, thousands of patients have received treatments in this country to successfully reduce their unwanted hair.
Q: Who carries out my treatment?
A:All treatments are carried out by specially trained medical laser practitioners who have had many years of experience in the non-surgical and beauty industry. The training for all staff is updated regularly by the laser manufactures and in-house programmes are in place to ensure that high standards of care and safety are maintained. The clinic is under the medical supervision of our clinic manager Analyn Gelvezon.
Q: How many treatments will I need?
A:Most people require, on average, a course of between six and eight treatments around four to six weeks apart. Most excitingly with laser hair removal you will have periods of time between treatments where you will be almost hair free, and by the third session most people see a reduction in hair regrowth.
